The Dees have being quietly going about their business as 2016 looks to be another development year with Simon Goodwin ready to take over from Paul Roos at season’s end. Melksham and Bugg add experience and flexibility to their line-up allowing Brayshaw, Viney and Tyson to develop around them.
They will be far more consistent and competitive in 2016 with the continual development and fresh face of Clayton Oliver to excite Melbourne supporters, but can they kick a winning score? The recruitment of Weideman fills a long term need but Hogan and Garlett will continue to need support. Christian Petracca may help at times, but he too will be nursed into senior football as Melbourne continue on their journey for long-term sustained success.
Predicted Finish: 12th – 15th
