2016 AFL Season Forecast

Preview by: Jamie Radford

While loathe to write off Sydney as premiership contenders in 2016, it is difficult to see them making the top four for the fifth consecutive year. Although the retirement of Mike Pyke should be covered by former Eagle Callum Sinclair, the losses of Adam Goodes, Rhyce Shaw and Lewis Jetta respectively cannot be underestimated. Michael Talia has been brought in to bolster an aging defence, while top draftee Callum Mills has been compared to Isaac Heeney in terms of talent. However, besides Heeney and Tom Mitchell none of the Swan’s youngsters have been able to really cement a spot in the side consistently.

With a midfield made up of Josh P. Kennedy, Daniel Hannebery, Kieren Jack, Luke Parker and Jarrad McVeigh, and a forward line including the likes of Lance Franklin and Kurt Tippett, the Swans fall should not be too dramatic, but a fall it will be.

Predicted Finish: 6th – 8th

I think the dockers will fished maybe 3rd or 7th I think the dockers will have a good year but beyond that the dockers need a main gold to is to be at our best but the recruiting in the draft was very low dockers put less 10 years for players and dockers don’t do it enough but the will do ok
