Tom Clurey put in a solid defensive performance in Port Adelaide’s loss to the Bulldogs.
Having been given his opportunity in the middle part of the season, Tom Clurey is beginning to cement his spot in the Port defence. The match against the Bulldogs was another decent performance for Clurey. He was given the job of dangerous forward Stewart Crameri in the first half, limiting him to just 4 disposals. After the half time break, Clurey was given the tough task on the game breaking Stringer – and also kept him to just 4 touches in the second half. While Clurey will never be a big ball winner, he is relishing his lock down role deep in the Port Adelaide defence.
