Footy Prophet Tipsters – Round 14

In a world of fantasy and drafting, tipping has been forgotten. But we at Footy Prophet appreciate tradition and a sense of the old-school. Footy Prophet experts will go head to head in season 2017, which will no doubt provide some unexpected results. As well as to give a sense of expectation for results of the weekend ahead, we’ll see which Footy Prophet Writer reigns supreme and who knows their footy best.

JARRYD BARCA

Adelaide, Sydney, Collingwood, Greater Western Sydney, Western Bulldogs, West Coast, Geelong, Richmond, Gold Coast

Pick of the week: The Swans have won their past six matches against the Bombers and haven’t lost to them since 2011. With all the momentum – having won five of their past six matches in 2017 – the Swans will continue o surge and put pressure on the top eight with a win on Friday night

DAVID CARDAMONE

Adelaide, Sydney, Port Adelaide, Greater Western Sydney, Western Bulldogs, West Coast, Geelong, Richmond, St Kilda

Pick of the week: There are only two games that are a locks with favouritism this week and Geelong at home is too hard to go past. Even if Sandilands returns to the senior side Geelong have far too many ball winners at ground level and with Fyfe so far from his Brownlow year it’s hard to find any winners for the Dockers.

MATT MCGRATH

Adelaide, Sydney, Port Adelaide, Greater Western Sydney, Western Bulldogs, West Coast, Geelong, Carlton, St Kilda

Pick of the week: GWS SHOULD beat Brisbane this week after falling to the Blues in their last start. However if Kelly fails to get up, and 2017 has already proven it to be the case, its not crazy to think the Lions could cause a boilover.

BEN PASCUZZI

Adelaide, Essendon, Collingwood, Greater Western Sydney, Western Bulldogs, West Coast, Geelong, Richmond, St Kilda

Pick of the week: Adelaide, the crows should be able to deal with the Hawks fairly easy considering the Hawks have been performing so poorly this season. What makes the task even easier for the Crows is the fact that they host the Hawks at Adelaide Oval, so expect the Crows to win big.

JAMIE RADFORD

Adelaide, Sydney, Collingwood, Greater Western Sydney, Western Bulldogs, West Coast, Geelong, Richmond, St Kilda

Pick of the week: GWS to defeat Brisbane After being beaten by Carlton in their last start prior to their bye, the Giants will be looking to put that surprise loss firmly behind them and unfortunately for the Lions, they will be on the receiving end. Brisbane have shown some solid signs in the last month or so, but not enough to see them trouble a rebounding GWS outfit.

DERYK THOMAS

Adelaide, Sydney, Collingwood, Greater Western Sydney, Western Bulldogs, West Coast, Geelong, Richmond, Gold Coast

Pick of the week: Bulldogs and North have played in sone dour struggles in recent years. I get the feeling that with both clubs struggling to put on scoreboard pressure of late, the Dogs have that edge around the contest at ground level, and tackling pressure to get them over the line in this one. The Bulldogs could be a chance to get Murphy back also.

CURRENT TALLY

David Cardamone – 72 (4 last week)

Matt McGrath – 69 (3)

Jamie Radford – 62 (3)

Deryk Thomas – 62 (3)

Ben Pascuzzi – 56 (2)

Jarryd Barca – 51 (2)
