Footy Prophet Tipsters – Round 21

In a world of fantasy and drafting, tipping has been forgotten. But we at Footy Prophet appreciate tradition and a sense of the old-school. Footy Prophet experts will go head to head in season 2017, which will no doubt provide some unexpected results. As well as to give a sense of expectation for results of the weekend ahead, we’ll see which Footy Prophet Writer reigns supreme and who knows their footy best.

JARRYD BARCA

Greater Western Sydney, Sydney, Richmond, Brisbane, Adelaide, West Coast, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide

Pick of the week: All season long we have slowly witnessed the vulnerability of Geelong when Dangerwood is nowhere to be seen. The Swans did it last week and the Tigers will break the hoodoo this week against a Cats side that will be without their skipper. Unfortunately, Richmond’s dream run continues.

DAVID CARDAMONE

Greater Western Sydney, Sydney, Richmond, Brisbane, Adelaide, West Coast, St Kilda, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide

Pick of the week: Brisbane. They’ve improved an enormous amount this season and their young crop of players are beginning to reap the benefits of playing a number of senior games early in their careers. Particularly down back where they are gradually building chemistry and an understanding of each other. With no Lynch to negotiate they’ll be strong down back and Ablett is another cog out of the Suns midfield. A change of coach may draw a spark but the Lions should get their fifth win of the season.

MATT MCGRATH

Greater Western Sydney, Sydney, Richmond, Brisbane, Adelaide, West Coast, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide

Pick of the week: The Suns are officially shot. With their Captain Lynch out and Ablett likely missing also, not to mention stoic ex-Pies ruck Jarrod Witts – they’ll be severely outgunned in the final QClash of 2017. Who’d have thought we’d ever see Brisbane here, huh?

BEN PASCUZZI

Greater Western Sydney, Sydney, Richmond, Brisbane, Essendon, West Coast, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide

Pick of the week: Sydney. The swans should be far too strong for the dockers on their home turf as they begin to start their charge for the premiership.

JAMIE RADFORD

Western Bulldogs, Sydney, Richmond, Brisbane, Adelaide, West Coast, St Kilda, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide

Pick of the week: After losing a thriller to the Saints at Etihad last week, the Eagles are back at home and the flat track bullies will be just that against a Carlton side who despite some strong showings have lost their last eight games. The Eagles haven’t been great of late themselves, but at home should be far too good for the Blues.

DERYK THOMAS

Greater Western Sydney, Sydney, Geelong, Brisbane, Adelaide, West Coast, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide

Pick of the week: West Coast are Subi specialists, and a trip west for a tiring Carlton outfit should be a burden too heavy this week. Priddis returns to bolster the Eagles midfield. This game is too important to drop for West Coast.
