Tippett keen for more time in ruck

After a solid preseason the Swans’ Kurt Tippett has suggested to media he would like to spend more time in the ruck in 2016.

Following a rare full preseason after enjoying arguably his best season for Sydney in 2015, Tippett told the media during the week that he would like to spend more time in the middle of the ground in 2016. The former Crow spent around 50 percent of his time on the ground in the ruck last season producing career best figures in disposals, hit outs and tackles, while also kicking 44 goals – his best return in his three years at Sydney. Given how successful he was in the role last year and with the retirement of Mike Pyke, Tippett should see even more time in the middle this season.
