In the final round of the WAFL Colts competition, East Perth demolished Subiaco by 54 points at Leederville Oval on Saturday morning.
The Royals head into the finals series with great momentum after winning seven of their past eight games.
And Subiaco now turn their attention to the 2018 season.

CHRISTIAN AMEDURI | HALF FORWARD | 187cm | 76kg
The Noranda junior continued his stunning form with a sensational display against Subiaco. He gathered 16 possessions, took seven marks, got the ball inside attacking 50 on five occasions, recorded four score assists, and laid three tackles. Expect Ameduri to play a key role for the Royals in September.
NATHAN ARBON | MIDFIELD | 175cm | 81kg
The Busselton junior was at his prolific best against Subiaco. He amassed 24 possessions, grabbed seven marks, laid three tackles and kicked four goals in a best afield performance.
THOMAS BAULCH | MIDFIELD | 181cm | 76kg
In only his third game for East Perth, Baulch produced his best performance to date. He amassed a game-high 29 possessions, grabbed 13 marks, and rebounded the ball out of defensive 50 on five occasions. His excellent form makes him a dangerous player for opposition clubs this September.
JAXON CAHILL | HALF BACK | 186cm | 74kg
The Trinity College student was at his smooth-moving best for the Royals against Subiaco. Stationed on the half-back line, Cahill offered plenty of run and drive to create many attacking opportunities. He finished with 16 possessions, seven marks, four rebounding 50s and three tackles.
DAMON GREAVES | HALF BACK | 185cm | 77kg
The bottom-ager is putting together an outstanding WAFL Colts campaign that will make recruiters take notice of him for 2018. Against Subiaco, he gathered 21 possessions, took eight marks and recorded five inside 50s in a dazzling performance. His ability to read the ball in flight, and his skill in making quick decisions makes him an attractive prospect.
LOUIS MILLER | HALF BACK | 188cm | 84kg
Miller, another bottom-ager who is making recruiters take notice for 2018, continued his excellent form, this time against Subiaco. He collected 15 possessions (10 contested), took seven marks, rebounded the ball out of defensive 50 on four occasions and got the ball inside attacking 50 twice. He will be worth monitoring for the 2018 AFL Draft.
BRANDON STARCEVICH | MIDFIELD | 187cm | 88kg
The National Combine invitee showcased why he is such a highly rated prospect for this year’s draft. He often used his big frame to crash his way through packs, and feed the ball to the outside runners. He accumulated 16 possessions (seven contested), laid five tackles, took four marks, recorded two inside 50s and kicked a goal.
MATTHEW YOUNG | MIDFIELD | 187cm | 83kg
The Augusta Margaret River product produced another performance that will surely make recruiters finally take notice of his talents. He finished with 24 possessions (11 contested), eight marks, six clearances, five tackles, four inside 50s, two score assists and a goal in a phenomenal performance. He is another player who will play a key role in East Perth’s finals series.
MAX DENNIS | MIDFIELD | 183cm | 68kg
The Carine junior ended the 2017 season with another sensational display. He accumulated a team-high 25 possessions (11 contested), recorded seven inside 50s, took five marks, won four clearances and laid three tackles in a typically tough performance.
NATHAN FRENCH | HALF FORWARD
The 17-year-old produced his best game for Subiaco in his WAFL career to date. He collected 23 possessions (nine contested), took seven marks, recorded four inside 50s, won three clearances and laid two tackles. His only blemish was three behinds, but nonetheless, he was a solid contributor on a tough day for Subiaco.
LIAM HICKMOTT | MIDFIELD | 176cm | 67kg
The tough inside midfielder was at his uncompromising best against the Royals. He was arguably Subiaco’s best player, with 22 possessions (14 contested), 10 tackles, nine clearances, seven inside 50s, and a goal. His strong performances should see him in the minds of recruiters, especially Carlton’s where he can go as a father/son prospect.
WIL HICKMOTT | WING | 180cm | 70kg
Stationed on the wing, the younger Hickmott proved why he is a highly rated prospect for the 2018 AFL Draft. He finished with 19 possessions (nine contested), five tackles, three marks, two clearances, two inside 50s and two rebounding 50s. Expect Carlton to be monitoring the progress of this father/son prospect for 2018.
TRISTAN HOBLEY | WING | 182cm | 71kg
The 2016 WA U16s member was at his silky best on the outside for the Lions. On the wing, he gathered 23 possessions, took nine marks, recorded two inside 50s and kicked a goal in another strong outing. He is a prospect who will be worth monitoring for the 2018 AFL Draft.
BEN MILLER | UTILITY | 196cm | 98kg
The 2017 WA U18s representative showcased why he is such a highly rated prospect for this year’s draft. He finished with 16 possessions (nine contested), 20 hit-outs, two marks, two inside 50s and a goal in a dazzling display. The Kalgoorlie product is destined for the big time.
MADOC PLANE | MIDFIELD | 179cm | 73kg
Like French, Plane produced his best performance for Subiaco in his WAFL career to date. He finished with 20 possessions (15 contested), won eight clearances, laid five tackles and recorded three inside 50s in a strong outing.
- Highly rated East Perth prospect Aaron Redhead did not play, while top Subiaco prospects Brayden Ainsworth and Kyron Hayden both played Reserves footy. Ainsworth gathered 23 disposals and kicked a goal, while Hayden gathered 14 touches and laid seven tackles in Subi’s win.
