Witts struggles in loss

Jarrod Witts has a poor outing in his return to the Collingwood side for their Round 12 loss to Melbourne.

Analysis

Collingwood opted to play three talls against Melbourne in a move to restrict the influence of Max Gawn. Witts was one of these talls, being selected after some decent VFL form. Unfortunately for the Pies, this did not work and Witts had a poor game, contributing little. He had just 10 hitouts with Collingwood being well beaten in the ruck, and was unable to have any influence up forward with just one behind to his name. With this experiment failing, Witts may find himself back in the VFL.
